Vacant position: Editor-in-Chief Journal of Business Ethics

Springer is seeking a replacement for the current Editor in Chief and founder of the Journal of Business Ethics, Professor Alex Michalos, who retires end of December 2015. The Journal of Business Ethics publishes articles from a wide variety of methodological and disciplinary perspectives on ethical issues related to business that bring something new or unique to the discourse in their field. Professor Michalos founded the journal in 1980 and has edited it for 35 years. Since 1980, the journal has grown into one of the major journals in the field. Since its initiation the journal has published articles in the broadest possible scope and the journal is one of the very few truly international journals in the field, publishing contributions from all over the world. It is published in 7 volumes / 28 issues per year and currently has an annual page budget of 4900. About 10 year ago a group of section editors was appointed to support the Editor-in-Chief. It is expected that the appointed person will already hold a senior position in academia or other research establishment and will have a track record of publishing in business ethics related areas. The appointment will be for initial seven to ten year term. The Editor-in-Chief will receive an annual stipend. A suitable candidate for the position should:
